It really depends on the person. Books are good, gift cards to restaurants are another go to.

Gift cards that seem to be the way to go in this era. People then can choose what they want to get instead of being given gifts they don't care for or will have no use for. However, if you really know the person then gifts should come easy. Homemade gifts are also very special.
