Pink grasshoppers

I've noticed there's been a lot less insects around this year but thankfully my over grown garden has been teaming with life. Absolutely love searching for pink grasshoppers, they seem to live to adulthood easily in my garden.Pink grasshoppers

Wow! I have never heard of or seen a pink grasshopper. Those are beautiful. What state do you live in? Or country? I have green grasshoppers here. I'm in Ohio.

I live in wales in the uk. I did look it up and it's a genetic defect. We had lots last year too. Typically they don't make it to adults as they are easier to spot but they have been hiding under our trampoline.

I'm with everyone else- I've never seen one before. I would rather see those than all the Japanese beetles I have around my flowers lately. 😠

It's a rare genetic defect, when I looked it up it said there's a 1% chance of finding one during our lifespan. I've been fortunate that mine have managed to survive into adulthood by hiding under our trampoline.
