I do have mine. True story- a few years back I applied for a work from home job. During the application process they required me to meet with a notary and scan multiple documents. When I took my certificate of birth, I was informed it was not my birth certificate. I was born before the computer generated certificates and my hand typed certificate did not count! Had to apply and pick up a new official birth certificate.
