I would not give them a choice.
My wife has started accumulating our Halloween handout candy. 1 year we got 200 kids nut had a drop off last year. I tell her every year let's just get a small selection idc how many but we always end up with 20 different candies and the kids stand there trying hard to decide what they want. But she's already got 6 different candies and no candy bars so here we go again

As a former kid, I would love having choices! But as an adult, the simpler the better. I know your wife wants to offer the best, but don't let Halloween become stressful
