Why is pluto not a planet anymore. I know this is old news but it irritates me. I grew up learning the rentance. My very educated mother just severed us nine pizzas. To once i got into 6th grade. Was told that that wasnt correct anymore and have to say ahe severed us nachos...

I agree! Like you should have made up your mind sooner instead of making the curriculum teach it's a planet only to have to reteach students that it isn't!

Something to do with it's size. Since there are other things bigger than Pluto they thought it was easier to downgrade it rather than declaring new planets.

Easy, its so far away they thought that it had more mass than was there. Technology advanced and the images that showed the planetary body in the first place was inaccurate. Its more of a belt of gargantuan space rocks.
