Anybody else just skip them? I don't understand either why they are used to advertise a game...

I don't mind waiting a few minutes for a cutscene. I can just grab a snack while it plays or something.

It depends on the game honestly, sometimes I will skip them but other times it really does add to the experience.

I hate them but probably if you're a kid they might be interesting

I also just skip them. I want to focus on the game not the scenes

I would not skip them if I play through the first time. It helps to tell the story of the game and what's going on. I enjoy them quite a bit!

Sometimes I like watching them and get immersed into the thing I'm playing. On the other hand sometime the plot is so bad I skip everything

What cut scenes are we talking about? If it is part of the story of a game then it make no sense to skip them unless you are replaying the game

I think a little bit goes a long way, but I'm generally not a huge fan. They're frequently poorly directed, with little actual dynamic movement or camera placement. And I think video games have simply found better ways to tell stories than basically having you stop playing to watch a short movie. It's what's putting me off Final Fantasy 16, a game that I was looking forward to but whose demo sucked the enthusiasm out of me by being mostly cutscenes.
