For me it is boring
If you've seen Dune 2, what do you think? I liked it, I didn't notice that it lasted 2 hours and 46 minutes. Very entertaining ๐๐ป

I am a huge fan of Frank Herbert. I have seen the classic version of the movie and subsequent fan-driven graphic novels. The classic one was one of the best movies based on books. ย The modern version of Dune was entertaining, with its grand scale and many visual stimuli. But it was disappointing. It failed to paint the depth of struggles and triumphs. It was superficial and got quickly boring. ย Because I kind of enjoyed being entertained with the first movie, I watched the second one, too. It was profoundly disappointing. I am sorry to report that we walked out and stopped watching about 50 minutes into the movie. We could not stand it.ย

I liked it a lot! Generally enjoyed the previous Dune, but honestly didn't think much about it after leaving the theater. This one's stuck in my head a lot more, sequences like the Harkonnen homeworld were so admirably bizarre that I can't stop thinking about them.
