The Matrix

Thomas Anderson, a computer programmer known as Neo, discovers that the reality he perceives is an elaborate simulation created by sentient machines to subdue and control humanity. Rescued from the Matrix by a group of rebels led by the enigmatic Morpheus, Neo learns the truth about his world and his own identity as "The One," a prophesied savior who can manipulate the Matrix and lead humanity to freedom. As Neo trains and confronts the agents of the Matrix, he must confront his doubts and fears to fulfill his destiny and challenge the machine overlords.
