I saw the first movie years ago and it was really good. So I was anticipating this release.   Without giving any spoiler,  I must saying that it's not as good.

I agree, the first one was awesome. I usually have movies and TV shows running in the background and do not pay much attention. But the Quiet Place (1) had my full attention.  
The Day 1 may not be as good as the first and second one in the series, but I am looking forward to watching it myself.
