From up here on the elevated track, I can see who wipes off their equipment when they're done and who doesn't. I can see a lot from up here but they can also see me playing on my phone when I should put it away and pick up my pace. Lol.The view from above

    My gym has an indoor track.  I think many newer gyms are adding this.   It accommodates many walkers at one time.  So no wait for a treadmill.

      Not only is this track useful in that regard, but it also provides our physically or itherwise challenged members an alternative  to the treadmill and elliptical machines. Specifically, there are special needs groups who come in. While some can ride the bikes or walk on the treadmill, a number of them are safer walking on the track.

      Can you imagine if I shouted down to someone, "Hey! You been sitting on that machine playing on your phone for four minutes. Move it!"

    This our YMCA.  The facilities have been expanded and improved several times over the years. The huge gym with the elevated track was completed about 1999. Membership is accessible to just about everyone. There are scholarships.
