I am the same way 100%.
When people tell me to go to such and such street, I ask them what is in the area? Tell me stores or type of homes or something else to tell it about. Driving, you don't always have the opportunity to catch the street signs as you go along. Tell me I'm not alone.

The most hilarious yet accurate directions I was ever given were from my sister telling me how to get to her new house. She had no idea of the street names. The part I have always remembered was you turn at the little church, go past the graveyard and turn when you see the cows. I actually found her house without any trouble. And this was in a city I had never been to and before we had the navigation tech we have now.
