How I lost 2 stone in 6 months

During lockdown with Covid I was comfort eating. Something had to change.

I discovered intermittent fasting. You choose a window of 8 hours when you eat. You must not eat before or after this window. Obviously sensible eating is required but you can choose whatever window works for you. I choose 4pm - 12am as I am a night owl. So I skip breakfast and lunch and either eat an early evening meal or have a teatime snack. Over 2 years on and I still doing it. I may have a day off for birthday or celebrations but otherwise I stick with it every day. I do drink during fasting period as I need hydration especially for exercise.

I also run 25-30 miles a week to keep metabolism up

Do the fast that suits, if 16/8 is too much just start it on 20/6 and ease your way back in. I still get hungry every day and sometimes break fast a bit earlier than planned but the good thing is every day is a new day. Some days especially around Christmas time can be tricky to stick to .

Good on you for your choice to make a change! 👊🏻 I have co-workers that do intermittent fasting and swear by it!

On another note, What is 2 stone in pounds? 😅

28lbs, 14 lbs in a stone. I went from 10 1/2 stone to 8 1/2 stone. I am a bit heavier now tho as I felt it was a bit too much but I still IF every day just have one or two more treats 😄
