Looking for some unique ideas

I am limited by a significant back injury in the amount/type of exercise that I can do easily/safely without ending up in severe pain. Walking is currently my main form of exercise. I am looking for some unique/different ways that I can incorporate more walking into my daily routine. Any ideas are very much appreciated! If you have any other tips, ideas, or suggestions for me that don't involve walking, I'd appreciate hearing those as well. Thank you in advance.

    I also had problems with my back. Instead of surgery I started to swim with some exercise to strength back muscles. I am now free of backpack for many many years...

      I do swim in the summertime. Living in Ohio limits that in the winter as well as most of spring and fall. I need to look into getting a pass at the YMCA to use the indoor pool and other facilities when the weather is cruddy. But, yes, swimming is a wonderful 0 impact option for exercise!!!
