2026 NFL Week 5 Biggest Takeaways for Every Team
Bleacher Report • • general
Key Points:
- Undrafted rookie quarterback Daniels performed admirably in his first NFL road start for the Buccaneers, helping secure their first victory despite not yet showing the ability to consistently drive the ball downfield.
- Daniels demonstrated mobility and improving pocket comfort, validating his position as Tampa Bay's QB2, although he still faces challenges against stronger defenses.
- The Dallas Cowboys defense remains one of the league's worst, ranking 31st in total defense, struggling with tackling and key stops despite having considerable individual talent.
- Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who dominated the Texans last week, was limited to just two catches for nine yards against Tampa Bay due to a quad injury, impacting the Cowboys' offensive effectiveness.
- Lamb's injury and the Cowboys' defensive struggles contribute to skepticism about the team's prospects as they hold a 2-3 record early in the season.
