AEW didn't do itself any favors before Blood & Guts vs. NXT battle
New York Post • • entertainment
Key Points:
- AEW Dynamite's Blood & Guts event is set to go head-to-head with NXT, which was rescheduled from Tuesday to Wednesday due to midterm elections, creating an intriguing counter-programming scenario.
- The build-up to Blood & Guts has been underwhelming, especially on the men's side, with a loosely assembled babyface team focused more on spectacle than strong storylines.
- The women's match also appears randomly put together, featuring top babyfaces against heels, excluding notable wrestlers Mercedes Mone and Marina Shafir.
- AEW faces challenges in managing its increasingly crowded pay-per-view schedule, including the upcoming Revolution event, leading to concerns about overloading their television product.
- Despite these issues, AEW recently aired a well-received tribute show for Benjamin "Pac" Satterley following his passing, showcasing their capability for quality programming.
