Apple Will Label Apps 'Made for iPhone Duo' in App Store
MacRumors • • technology
Key Points:
- Apple will label apps that are "Made for iPhone Duo" on the App Store to highlight those optimized for the new device.
- Apps optimized for iPhone Duo must be built with the iOS 27.1 SDK or later, allowing them to fill the entire inner display with a vertical toolbar below the status bar.
- Apps built with the iOS 27 SDK fill most of the inner display but avoid the status bar on the right edge, while apps using iOS 26 SDK or earlier appear centered with empty space around them.
- The number of apps optimized for the iPhone Duo is rapidly increasing, and users should monitor the App Store updates for new compatible apps.
- The iPhone Duo is set to launch this Friday.
