Chiefs Rookie Report: Grading Kahlil Benson through four games

Key Points:

• The Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated at 4-0, leading the AFC and AFC West, with rookie offensive lineman Kahlil Benson playing a key role as the starting left tackle.
• Benson has delivered solid performances, grading 77% overall through four weeks, including 74% in true pass protection and run blocking, benefiting from the Chiefs' quick passing game and increased running plays.
• While Benson has yet to allow a sack and shows strong physicality and grip strength, he still faces challenges with quickness and hand placement in pass protection, leading the Chiefs to provide occasional assistance.
• Benson's run blocking has been instrumental in supporting running back Kenneth Walker's success, using his power and college guard experience to create effective running lanes.
• Although not perfect, Benson's combination of brute strength, effort, and adaptability suggests a promising future with the Chiefs, potentially at either guard or tackle positions.
