Eagles-Cowboys preview: 5 things to watch

Key Points:

• The Philadelphia Eagles are struggling with a four-game losing streak and face the Dallas Cowboys, another underperforming divisional rival, on Monday Night Football amid internal team issues overshadowing the matchup.
• The Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in recent history, but the Eagles' offense has been even more ineffective, compounded by injuries to key players like Jalen Hurts and offensive linemen, with coaching being a significant concern.
• The Eagles' run defense will be tested by Javonte Williams, a strong running back for the Cowboys, while Dallas relies heavily on passing, with Dak Prescott leading the league in pass attempts and the Cowboys aiming to control possession.
• Philadelphia's pass defense faces challenges against Prescott and a talented receiving corps, including CeeDee Lamb, with communication breakdowns in the secondary raising concerns about coverage reliability.
• The Cowboys' strong interior offensive line contrasts with weak tackles, but the Eagles may struggle to exploit this due to injuries to their top edge defenders, limiting their pass-rush effectiveness.
