Fox takes Dave Portnoy off 'Big Noon Kickoff' college football show
New York Post • • general
Key Points:
- Barstool Sports and Dave Portnoy will no longer appear on Fox Sports' "Big Noon Kickoff" college football pregame show after just over a year of involvement.
- The decision reportedly stems from difficulties in aligning Barstool's edgy brand with Fox's traditional programming and its Big Ten partnership.
- Portnoy has faced criticism for attending Ohio State games despite being a Michigan alum, with reports last season suggesting he was banned from Ohio Stadium, though Ohio State denied this.
- Portnoy publicly criticized Ohio State head coach Ryan Day on social media, accusing him of pressuring Fox Sports to remove Barstool from the show.
- Despite the shakeup, Barstool's partnership with Fox Sports will continue, with their daily FS1 show "Wake Up Barstool" remaining on the air.
