Key Points:
- Metroid Prime: Federation Force received significant criticism upon release, despite some fans appreciating its co-op and single-player modes and owning the original 3DS cartridge.
- The game's negative reception was partly due to the fanbase's anticipation of a new 2D Metroid entry, though some clarify that Federation Force was announced before Samus Returns development began.
- There is a desire among some fans for a Switch 2 port of Federation Force, but the likelihood of this happening is considered very low.
- The Metroid fandom is criticized for not supporting the Metroid Prime remaster financially, which may have impacted the chances of remasters for Metroid Prime 2 or 3.
- Ever Oasis, a game by Grezzo released after the Switch launch, is noted as an underrated title with potential for a port or successor, contrasting with the mixed reception of Federation Force.
