Key Points:
- Wizards of the Coast is introducing "God Packs" to Magic: The Gathering boosters, which will consist entirely of rares and mythics, enhancing the excitement of opening packs.
- God Packs will appear in both Play Boosters (1 in 1,000 chance) and Collector Boosters (1 in 300 chance), with different card distributions tailored to each booster type.
- Play Booster God Packs include one special celebration card, 10 non-foil rares/mythics, and four "Booster Fun" variant cards, while Collector Booster God Packs feature a mix of foil lands, rares, and multiple foil and non-foil variant cards.
- Wizards is also increasing foil rare and mythic drop rates across all boosters but removing foil commons and uncommons from Play Boosters and reducing Collector Booster card counts to 12 by cutting some foil common/uncommon slots.
- These changes will debut with the upcoming set Nauctis: The Sunken Realm and apply to future in-universe sets, while Universes Beyond sets will adopt them starting in 2028.
