Key Points:

Google Maps version 26.44.4 now offers full support for the iPhone Duo's dual displays, improving the app's layout and usability on the device.
Previously, the app was offset on the outer screen and left much of the inner screen empty, but the update allows Google Maps to fill both screens more effectively.
On the inner screen, the app adopts a wide layout similar to the iPad version, with menus and search on the left and the map or satellite view spanning the rest of the display.
Street View also takes advantage of the dual screens, displaying on the left side with the map on the right, and users can expand Street View to fill the entire screen if desired.
When closing the iPhone Duo during Street View, the app shifts to the outer screen with a close button to return to the map, enhancing navigation continuity.
