Key Points:
- Rockstar Games plans to release the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI in the first quarter of 2027, a few months after the console launch on November 19, 2026.
- This PC release timeline is significantly faster than the previous Grand Theft Auto V, which launched on PC about a year and seven months after its console debut.
- The quicker PC release aims to expand GTA VI’s audience and capitalize on user-generated content, especially online roleplaying, which Rockstar supports through its acquisition of the FiveM developer Cfx.re.
- Rockstar has delayed GTA VI’s release twice, with the current console launch date set for November 19, 2026, and the PC version expected to meet the same quality standards before release.
- Online multiplayer for GTA VI is anticipated to launch in 2027, following the PC release, enabling roleplaying and other user-generated content to become a key part of the game experience.
