Key Points:
- Lions All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph has been ruled out for the Week 8 game against the Vikings as he is still in the early stages of returning from injury, though he has been progressing through individual and group drills in practice.
- Lions coach Dan Campbell emphasized a cautious approach in Joseph’s rehabilitation, with plans for him to participate in full team practice next week.
- Starting cornerback Roger McCreary was added to the injury report on Friday and is listed as questionable for the game, with no clear information on the nature or timing of his injury.
- If McCreary is unable to play, Ennis Rakestraw is expected to start at outside cornerback; Rakestraw has been limited in practice but is likely to play and has become a key part of the Lions’ defensive back rotation.
- Other players who were limited or did not practice earlier in the week have returned to full participation and are expected to be available for Sunday’s game.
