MAGA ‘Biggest Loser’ Star Drops Brutal Truth About Republicans
The Daily Beast • • world
Key Points:
- Jillian Michaels, a MAGA podcaster and former Biggest Loser coach, warned Republicans that strong MAGA support for Trump does not represent the majority of the voting pool and could hinder GOP success in the midterms.
- Michaels cited Pew research showing only 28% of voters identify as Republicans, with 44% as independents, and a University of Massachusetts survey indicating 32% of Republicans do not identify with MAGA.
- Despite Trump's high approval within the GOP, Michaels emphasized many Republicans and right-leaning independents are unhappy and may choose not to vote, risking lower turnout for the party.
- White House spokesman David Ingle defended Trump's leadership and his influence over the MAGA coalition but did not address concerns about non-MAGA Republicans' disengagement.
- Michaels urged Republicans not to be overconfident in MAGA enthusiasm alone, warning that lack of broader voter turnout could be detrimental to GOP prospects in the midterms.
