Minior Showers in Pokémon GO: Dates, Cores & Bonuses

Key Points:

• Minior is making its Pokémon GO debut through a series of six "Minior Showers" events running from October 19, 2026, to August 2027, each aligned with real-world meteor showers and featuring different Minior Core colours.
• During these events, Minior will appear in its Meteor Form in the wild, with increased encounter rates between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time, and players will earn extra Stardust for catching it.
• Minior features a unique form-changing mechanic in battles: it starts in Meteor Form with higher Defense and lower Attack, then switches to its Core Form with higher Attack and lower Defense when its health drops below 50%, applicable in battles against Team GO Rocket, team leaders, and the GO Battle League.
• The Geminids event in December 2026 will introduce two new Minior Core colours, one exclusive to the Northern Hemisphere and one to the Southern Hemisphere, though the specific colours have not yet been revealed.
• Minior is a Rock and Flying-type Pokémon, vulnerable to Electric, Ice, Rock, Steel, and Water-type attacks, and will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
