Netflix Scores Big With New Near-Perfect Action Thriller Series That's Officially a Global Smash Hit

Key Points:

• Lupin, Netflix's French-language heist series starring Omar Sy, returned for its fourth season on October 23, 2026, and is currently the number one show on Netflix in multiple countries including France, Austria, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Nigeria.
• The series has consistently received excellent critical reviews, with Rotten Tomatoes scores of 98%, 96%, and 100% for seasons one through four, respectively, making it one of Netflix's few action thrillers without a poorly received season.
• Despite critical acclaim, the fourth season currently holds a low audience rating of 15%, though this is based on fewer than 50 ratings and may improve over time as more viewers weigh in.
• The fourth season plot continues from season three, with Assane Diop in prison and framed for crimes he did not commit, leading to his breakout to clear his name.
• All four seasons of Lupin are available on Netflix, with the show expanding its episode count each season; a fifth season has not been confirmed but is likely given the show's strong overall performance.
