Pre-Game Quick Hits: No. 3 Notre Dame @ North Carolina

Key Points:

• Notre Dame has increasingly recruited football players from North Carolina, with eight current roster members from the state and 21 signees since the Brian Kelly era, particularly from Charlotte, which aligns with their upcoming 2027 game against Wake Forest in Charlotte.

• Notre Dame boasts a strong defensive record, holding opponents under 100 rushing yards in five consecutive games, the longest active streak in the program's history, and has recorded 33 non-offensive touchdowns over the past five seasons.
• Key players include QB CJ Carr, who has achieved four games with both passing and rushing touchdowns, and defensive standouts like Leonard Moore with seven interceptions, contributing to Notre Dame’s robust defensive performance.
• Notre Dame’s upcoming schedule includes noon kickoff games where they hold a 7-2 record under Marcus Freeman, and their next three opponents have varied rushing averages, presenting different defensive challenges.
