Key Points:
- The Baltimore Ravens are finalizing a trade to acquire veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals ahead of the NFL trade deadline, following injuries to their top QBs Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
- Brissett was recently demoted to third-string on the Cardinals after Arizona promoted Gardner Minshew to starter, making him available for Baltimore's urgent needs at quarterback.
- The Ravens will start undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano in Week 9 against the Jaguars, but Brissett is expected to start as soon as Week 10 to help stabilize the offense.
- Brissett, 33, is an experienced NFL journeyman known for stepping into starting roles on short notice, having played for multiple teams including the Colts, Dolphins, Browns, and Cardinals.
- Despite Brissett’s arrival, the Ravens face challenges on both offense and defense, and while he may help secure some wins, the team’s playoff prospects remain uncertain until Lamar Jackson’s return.
