Samsung confirms list of Galaxy devices getting Android 17

Key Points:

• Samsung has confirmed a list of Galaxy smartphones and tablets scheduled to receive the Android 17-based One UI 9 update, with the rollout starting in Japan during October and November 2026.
• The update has already begun with the Galaxy S26 series and will extend to various last-generation Galaxy devices, including the S24, S23, Z Fold, Z Flip, Galaxy A series, and Galaxy Tab models.
• The list shared by Samsung Japan is not exhaustive, notably missing some "Plus" models and devices from other regions, but it provides a strong indication of the global update rollout plan.
• Samsung expects the update process to continue globally into December and January 2027, especially for entry-level devices, with ongoing monitoring and updates to the rollout status.
• This update follows Samsung's recent innovations, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra's praised Privacy Display and upcoming Android 18-based One UI 10 enhancements.
