Key Points:
- Trevor Lawrence is having a breakout sixth NFL season, posting career-high stats and leading the league with a passer rating of 111.7, on pace for MVP-level numbers with over 4,100 yards and 38 touchdowns projected.
- After a difficult rookie year under Urban Meyer and moderate success with Doug Pederson, Lawrence has thrived in Liam Coen’s offense, improving his yards per attempt by nearly 1.5 yards and reducing sacks from 41 to 13.
- Lawrence leads the NFL with touchdown passes on 8% of his attempts and has shown significant growth in reading defenses, contributing to the Jaguars’ recent success including a 13-4 record last season and an even stronger start this year.
- The Jaguars often blow out opponents, limiting Lawrence’s late-game stats, but he still has impressive first-half numbers with 1,196 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping the team secure the fourth-best Super Bowl odds.
- Lawrence currently ranks fifth in MVP odds, and with the Jaguars emerging as a top contender, he is increasingly viewed as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today.
