Key Points:
- The University of Maryland is offering a raffle during its Saturday football game where students who stay until the fourth quarter can win free tuition for the spring 2027 semester, valued up to $5,507.
- To participate, students must attend the game, scan a QR code displayed on the video board, and remain until the fourth quarter.
- The football team, struggling with a 2-5 record and no conference wins, recently parted ways with head coach Michael Locksley, with Aazaar Abdul-Rahim stepping in as interim coach.
- This tuition raffle follows a similar 2018 initiative funded by an anonymous donor aimed at boosting game attendance by rewarding students who stay through the entire game.
- Additional incentives for the upcoming game include buy-one-get-two-free ticket deals, giveaways like UMD sweatshirts, free snacks, and the first 7,500 attendees receiving Bavarian alpine hats for Oktoberfest.
