Key Points:
- A woman was caught on CCTV clinging to the bonnet of a moving car and verbally abusing the driver during a road rage incident on the Gold Coast in July last year.
- The victim, aspiring Paralympian Natalie Alice Shaw, 22, was driving when the woman allegedly drove the wrong way and nearly collided with her vehicle.
- The footage shows the woman mounting Shaw’s car as it moved down Olsen Ave at speeds up to 60km/h, hurling insults and refusing to let go until she fell off.
- Shaw attempted to swerve to dislodge the woman, who also tried to hold onto the windshield wipers before finally releasing her grip.
- Despite the circumstances, Shaw was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and received a six-month driving suspension at Southport Magistrates Court.
