Zach Bryan Dons "Free Palestine" Shirt At Gillette Stadium Concert
Deadline • • entertainment
Key Points:
- Zach Bryan wore a "Free Palestine" shirt during his performance at Gillette Stadium, owned by Robert Kraft, in response to Kraft's campaign against Macklemore's pro-Palestinian stance.
- Ed Sheeran was pressured by Kraft and other venue owners to remove Macklemore from his tour due to Macklemore's outspoken support for Palestinians, leading to Sheeran dropping Macklemore last month.
- Sheeran canceled his Gillette Stadium shows last weekend due to a nor’easter, despite previously complying with Kraft's demands to drop Macklemore.
- The controversy led to several tour openers, including Finneas, Aaron Rowe, Lukas Graham, and Sheeran’s backing band Beoga, withdrawing from the tour.
- With another show scheduled at Gillette Stadium, it is uncertain whether Robert Kraft will intervene further in Zach Bryan’s upcoming performance.
