I've loosely followed a keto diet and I feel like I'm in better health.  The foods are more nutritionally dense.

    In a word, no!
You may have a couple of days where you feel a bit unwell but that's just your body changing over from burning glucose to burning ketones.
I lost a lot of weight and controlled my diabetes with a keto diet.

Sicuramente meglio non prolungarla troppo nel tempo

Your body needs to adapt new eating patterns and diets. Start the keto diet gently rather than following the diet rules strictly. Monitor your body's condition regularly and consult your family doctor if needed.

What is your agenda? Why you want to follow keto specifically?

Keto can depend on your health status. I know a lot of people on weight loss surgery recovery are required to have a keto diet many times. Ask your doctor.

I did not have any bad side effects from from doing keto. Some people get sick at first while their body switches over but it does lose weight quickly. After the fact you just have to either stay keto forever or do like a weight watchers type plan. If you go back the weight cones back too also the fluctuation isn't the healthiest

Yes keto diets are associated with many negative health risks. https://sitn.hms.harvard.edu/flash/2023/keto-its-probably-not-right-for-you/

However, intermittent keto seems to mitigate these risks.

I think when you start something so different, it is a good idea to speak with your doctor about it. It is never a bad idea to consult a doctor on health matters.

I'm not sure if it's dangerous but I know you get t the most horrific headaches and the first week the fatigue is unreal
