    I think any pet has the potential of helping lower BP.  Nothing like a good cuddle from your pet to help relax you and lower your BP. Will it lower it to the point of curing high BP, maybe, but not likely. 
    But, an ornery pet that causes chaos could also increase BP    😉

    Great question!  Pets can overall help people with happiness and health benefits.  I believe, yes, it has been proven that pets can help with the lowering of blood pressure.  This is what I've read in books.

    If it relieves stress then sure, but as for the purr , specifically, 🤔 idk, but has me thinking , good vibes and all :)
