I don't think sugar is a bigger. It's salt and red meat along with lack of exercise that gets people in trouble h8gh blood pressure.

Sodium Intake
For an average adult, the American Heart Association recommends:
No more than 2,300 milligrams (mg) of sodium per day.
Ideal limit: No more than 1,500 mg per day, especially for those with high blood pressure.
Sugar Intake
While there isn’t a direct daily limit for sugar specifically related to blood pressure, reducing overall sugar intake is beneficial for heart health. The American Heart Association suggests:
Women: No more than 6 teaspoons (about 25 grams) of added sugar per day.
Tips for Managing Sodium and Sugar Intake
Read Labels: Check food labels for sodium and added sugars.
Cook at Home: Preparing meals at home allows you to control the amount of salt and sugar.
Use Alternatives: Use herbs and spices instead of salt for flavor, and opt for natural sweeteners like fruits.
Maintaining these dietary guidelines can help manage and prevent high blood pressure.

While I am sure the answer is something much lower than my typical intake, I have to say that these are two of my favorite things!
