The Niagara Glen (aka the best Glen ever) is a great spot near Niagara Falls for hiking, picnicking, relaxing, etc...

 

It is a forested area, full of walking paths, rocks to climb on and you can even walk right down to the Niagara River. You're not supposed to swim there, but you can definitely stick your feet in the water and cool down. 

 

It's not quite as well known as some of the other attractions in Niagara, but it's well worth a visit.

    Oh, we visited Niagara last June. We did not know that there is a place like that. We just went into the downtown area and at Niagara Falls.

    Which side of the border were you visiting? Fwiw, the Niagara Glen is on the Canadian side.

    I usually like to spend a free hours there when I'm in the area. 

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to do so this time.
