We had phones like both of those growing up. I don't know what happened to the rotary one, it wasn't efficient at all, but it was fun to play with as a kid.

I never really used these as a kid, but my grandparents had both and I would sometimes play with them lol

I grew up with the rotary style phone. I remember getting our first push button phone. It was pretty special. We can't "hang up" or slam the phone anymore. It's just a touch of the screen now.
