Your cat looks like it wants to murder you. Lol it's funny cuz I just bathed my cat today too. He doesn't like it much but he takes it. It helps if you start bathing them frequently when they are babies. Then they get use to it and don't fight it as much.

I need blood transfusions when I have to give my fluffy curmudgeon a bath, only due to fleas. Stormy has incredibly dense and long fur, and she is a chunker so there is a lot of surface area  🙄  This is just a little sample of her paw work.

Ohh.  Try playing with her during bath if it helps.

16.71 Wait, you are with the cat? I love taking a shower. I'm not one for baths. I don't want to sit in my own dirty water. But whatever floats your boat (or other floaty bits as it were). But a shower... ahhhh! So refreshing. I take at least a shower a day, sometimes 2 depending on activity or heat/humidity level. I do not feel fully awake until I've had my morning shower and often have a headache until I wash it away with a shower.

16.69 Last year, the fleas were horrendous! My vet and the news stated this and it was the first time any cat and my house has ever been infested. I flea bombed my house 2 separate times, swept everyday, washed everything that wasn't nailed down, walked around on a mixture of salt and baking soda ground into my carpets, sprayed vinegar along the door jams to discourage intruders from the outdoors... and probably more I am forgetting about now after the trauma. Then the flea baths  😵‍💫  They didn't work the first time... or the second time... or the third time. This poor fat and very fluffy cat required four trips to the tub. And I needed multiple trips to the ER
lol, just kidding. I may have looked like a mummy but I handled my own medical care.

16.70 Also, just now seeing I already talked about (and showed) my battle scars. More trauma response I have repressed. 😉
