Key Points:
- The Phillies will start Aaron Nola in Game 3 against the Braves, relying on their veteran pitchers Zack Wheeler and Nola to try to advance in the postseason.
- Nola will be on full rest after a brief, short-rest start last Saturday, and Wheeler is expected to be available on three days' rest to follow him.
- The Phillies plan to use an "all hands on deck" pitching strategy, potentially mirroring last year's division series approach where Nola pitched briefly before handing off to another starter.
- Nola has a solid postseason record against the Braves, having helped the Phillies win Game 3 in both 2022 and 2023 NL division series.
- Rookie Andrew Painter contributed significantly in Game 2 with three scoreless relief innings, keeping the Phillies' season alive.
