Key Points:
- The Philadelphia Phillies' hopes for a World Series title ended abruptly with a loss in Game 3, signaling likely major roster changes this offseason due to aging players and upcoming free agency.
- Third baseman Alec Bohm, a former top draft pick, is expected to part ways with the Phillies unless he agrees to a short-term deal, as his performance has been underwhelming despite decent run production.
- Second baseman Bryson Stott, despite a strong season, may be traded soon since he has only one year of team control left, with teams like the Yankees potentially interested.
- Interim manager Don Mattingly's future with the Phillies is uncertain amid organizational turmoil and questionable decisions, making his return unlikely.
- Infielder Luis Arraez could attract a lucrative contract from other teams, but the Phillies are unlikely to match such offers given their financial constraints, while pitcher Tanner Banks may be replaced due to poor performance and roster limitations.
