Key Points:
- Halloween weather will be generally warm or dry across most of the country, but some regions, especially parts of the South, Midwest, and West, may experience rain or chilly conditions.
- The Northeast will have pleasant temperatures with no rain expected, though kids may need warmer costumes or jackets after sunset, particularly in New England.
- The South faces a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly around the lower Mississippi Valley, so carrying an umbrella is advisable.
- The Midwest will see mild temperatures but with possible light showers or thunderstorms in areas from Nebraska and Kansas to the Lower Ohio Valley, as well as parts of the Dakotas and Michigan's upper Peninsula.
- The West, including California, Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona, may experience rain or snow in the Sierra Nevada, with cooler temperatures overall; notably, San Diego could see its first measurable Halloween rain in 39 years.
