๐Ÿ’›Event๐Ÿ’› Ask Anything about โ€˜Keto dietโ€™!

A question I ask can be quite interesting ..

For all teenage boys and girls and who do sports activities, can it be integrated'Keto Diet'?

Is it advisable to have a balanced approach by including other things?

Or is it better to wait for a more adult age?

It's possible but not recommended with younger kids. I've read minimum age 16 but you should check with a doctor before starting

It is possible for teenage boys and girls who do sports activities to follow a keto diet, but it is important to consult with a healthcare provider or nutritionist before making any drastic changes to their diet.ย
In general, a balanced approach that includes a variety of nutrient-dense foods is typically recommended for growing teenagers who are active in sports. This may include whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats in addition to the principles of a ketogenic diet.
There is no set age that is deemed appropriate for following a keto diet, but it is important for teenagers to have guidance from a healthcare provider or nutritionist to ensure that they are meeting their nutritional needs while supporting their athletic endeavors.ย
It is always best to seek advice from a professional rather than making major changes to a diet without proper guidance.

I've personally known a few professional athletes who integrated it and were ill for a month. Once they started feeling better (still on keto diet they overall lost a lot of their athletic abilities. Once they dropped the diet after a week they started to get better. Everyone is different but check with a DR first.

Teens need carbs for growth, brain development, and physical activity. Keto drastically limits carbs, making it hard to produce maximum energy. A balanced diet with whole grains, fruits, and vegetables provides all the nutrients teens need to perform well in sports and life.
