Keto question about health

Even though keto diet can be beneficial for a lot of people I have also heard that it can cause kidney stones and non-alcoholic fatty liver due the rich protein and fat intake. How often does that happen? Does it happen when you are on keto for a long time?

Thank you in advance for your answers!

The keto diet can increase risk of kidney stones (1/10 pts) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, especially with long-term use and high intake of low-quality fats. However, these risks can be mitigated with proper hydration, choosing healthy fats, and regular medical monitoring.

High fat animal foods, such as eggs, meat, and cheese, are staples of the keto diet because they don’t contain carbs. If you eat a lot of these foods, you may have a higher risk of kidney stones.

I think it is rare-ish, but you should really talk to your doctor before beginning anything like this.

I think it depends on individual. More likely you need to choose quality fatty food intake. Your body condition would likely contribute.

You can support your liver by adding liver supporting herbs like milk thistle for example. Also artichokes or something bitter, there is also a saying "what is bitter to the tongue is sweet for the liver.
Polyphenols are great for the kidneys (example green tee) adding turmeric to your diet or as a supplement is a great support. Parsley and cilantro are awesome.
