How long is a good fasting window?

Many people starting out do 16:8 thats 16 hours without food and 8 hours for eating.

What works for you?

A good fasting window for many people is the 16:8 method, with 16 hours of fasting and an 8-hour eating window. Starting with this schedule can help you adjust more easily. Personally, I find a 14:10 or 12:12 window works well, balancing fasting with enough time to enjoy meals.

Thank you for your input. I have found that simply cutting out evening snacks can give you a 12:12 without even trying. Have tea at 6 and breakfast from 6am et voila!

I've had decent results with what amounts to a 12 - 14 hour window of fasting.

I should point out though, that this was only one thing that I've been working on. I have also worked on other aspects of my diet at the same time.

I have started with 14/10, but soon I tried 16/8 and it works good for me. You have to try for your own, what fasting windows are suitable for you

I would think that if you are just starting out, you should ease your way Into it.

Totally hence many people starting with 16:8. Hopefully not many jump straight in to a 5 day fast or longer though I have heard of people going straight into a long fast (under medical supervision) to heal their bodies of a particular malaise

I haven't tried any specific amount of time between meals, but I don't eat until after I run in the morning, which sometimes can amount to 10 hours or more.

I have not tried this yet. But I have had friends who have.

Why not, the worst that can happen is that you break your fast early 😊
