What causes high blood pressure ?

personally, I've heard the term "high blood pressure" a lot of times,

but I am unsure of something.

Is high blood pressure caused by the same reason for everybody?

I met somebody with high blood pressure and he told me all about the treatments and what he had to eat, but he never told me what caused it.

Are people born with it and it's just some sort of side effect ? ๐Ÿค”

Or do they all do exactly the same thing and that sort of triggers it?

Thank you for reading โ˜บ๏ธ

Hope my question is answered

It can be hereditary but mostly the bad diet of a person. One of my brothers had it since he was in a young age, he got it from my father, and my father got high blood pressure from his father. And i knew few people has it now because of unhealthy diet but never had it before.

Mostly food and lifestyle. People that eats high salty food, fatty food and live a stressful lifestyle causes high blood pressure. Blood pressure is basically a measurement of how much pressure it takes for your blood to pump out from your arteries..ย

I think it's stress, lack of exercise, and sodium intake through diet.

Not getting enough exercise, eating too much salt, drinking too much alcohol or caffeine, and not getting enough sleep can increase your risk.
