So much for a follow the leader moment

Traveling down a back road, we're behind this semi and load that was hanging over his lane and making it difficult for other vehicles to go around him. Finally passed him and got 2 almost 3 miles up the road only to see his pilot truck with the wide load banner just merrily traveling on not realizing his 'buddy' wasn't behind him. This went on for like 20 minutes and at least 5 vehicles between them, before he, the pilot truck, pulled over to realize that. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

      Wasn't necessarily a joke. Just that someone wasn't  paying attention. A pilot vehicle travels with semi trucks that not only warn other drivers if the load the semi is carrying is wider, heavier, or longer than normal. They are also there to warn the driver if there's any issues with the road they're on, like the road narrowing in general or due to construction, broken down cars that may cause a problem, etc. We were laughing cause it took him awhile to realize his guy wasn't directly hlbehind him. They're suppose to stay together with no other cars between them.
