Omg! I feel it. I had this experience before too
I was so into that I had got a lot of steps in yesterday, I forgot to collect my chest coins! What a goof.

There were many times when I didn't have a chest coin box at all. Even if I wanted to collect it, I couldn't because I couldn't see the box.
