Very interesting.
The state bird of Texas is the Mockingbird. There are several in the neighborhood. The can be mean to other birds and eat my tomatoes right before they are ripe. Not sure why it's our state bird.

Yes, they maybe should have picked a bird that's not such a pest!

Yup, that bird is mean and fearless. I saw it chasing the mourning doves and grackles hanging out on my backyard fence and chasing a hawk hunting around my neighborhood. That bird is small but a big bully!
